Performance Pay - Outstanding Teacher
Survey Process
The
following was created by the Outstanding Teacher Committee to aid
administrators in making the outstanding process flow smoothly.
Suggested "To
Do's"
- Duplicate 1 set of the
"master packet" and distribute it to each teacher
declared a candidate.
- Order 40 envelopes for each
candidate at the secondary level for mailing and return of
surveys. Elementary and "specialists" categories may
require fewer envelopes.
- Postage out of the building will
be paid by district. Return postage is the responsibility of
either the recipient or teacher (optional).
- School will duplicate surveys
(client and peer) for candidates, making them available for
pick-up. (20 client surveys, 4 peer surveys per candidate at
secondary level, less for elementary level or specialists)
- Run client surveys on one color
within building; peer survey on another color for
differentiation.
- Teacher candidate will bring the
administrator a list to include the names of clients and peers
to whom they will send surveys. (10 client, 2 peer for secondary
level) Administrator will then choose ten client names and two
peers to send surveys to regarding the teacher's application for
outstanding designation.
- Teacher will provide to
administrator the following:
- 12 blank envelopes to which
the administrator or secretary will affix a mailing label.
- 12 return envelopes addressed
to the teacher candidate at the school address.
- Students may return survey to
the teacher candidate or they may be mailed.
