We trust teachers to instruct and guide our children through the
educational system. We expect teachers to not only help with
academics, but to guide our children along the path in becoming
productive citizens. The Douglas County Educational Foundation (DCEF),
in cooperation with the Douglas County School District (DCSD) and
the Douglas County Federation (DCF), has created an event that we
feel will demonstrate our appreciation for teachers. The First
Annual Apple Awards Dinner and Ceremony honored teachers who have
demonstrated a superior ability to foster excellence in education,
while contributing to the continuous improvement of student learning
and the educational environment in Douglas County. The First
Annual Douglas County Educational Foundation Apple Awards Dinner and
Ceremony was held on March 11, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center
Denver in the Grand Ballroom.
