For Retirees |

As you know, the Douglas County Federation has created a retiree
chapter for our local union. As a member of the Douglas County Federation
of Retirees (DCFR), you would:
- Represent the interests of retirees;
- Enrich the lives of members by staying involved in the Union;
- Be entitled to AFT membership benefits (including the $1M
job-related liability insurance coverage);
- Strengthen the local's, state and labor movement's political
influence; and
- Shape and enhance the quality of life in the community.
The retiree chapter will organize retirees for various activities
and coordinate them with the efforts of the working members. Examples:
- Community Projects - booths at fairs, student/school events,
daytime meetings
- Political Action - letter writing for local, state and national
issues; lobbying for retiree issues, etc.
- Informative workshops - PERA, housing options
- Organizing Drives - distribute leaflets, speak to workers,
seniors and community groups
In order to accomplish our goal, the DCF would like you to become
a member of DCFR. Print a copy of the form below and send the completed/signed
membership information to the above address.
